Keto Bagels With Everything Seasoning

Bagels are a breakfast and lunch staple, so it’s great we can still have them on Keto.

These Keto bagels are savory and chewy plus the texture of these bagels taste so much like their carb filled version you won’t even be able to tell the difference. These bagels are keto, low-carb, grain-free, and gluten-free!

INGREDIENTS

For the Bagels

• 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella

• 2 oz. cream cheese

• 1 1/2 cups almond flour

• 1/4 cup flaxseed meal

• 2 tablespoons psyllium husk powder

• 1 teaspoon baking powder

• 2 teaspoons active dry yeast mixed in 2 tablespoons of warm water

• 4 eggs

For the Everything Seasoning

• 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

• 1 tablespoons sesame seeds

• 1 tablespoon dried minced onion

• 2 teaspoons garlic powder

• 2 teaspoons coarse salt

INSTRUCTIONS

For the Bagels

1. Heat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, melt the mozzarella and cream cheese in a microwave for 1 minute.  Remove and stir, then microwave again for 40 seconds or until the cheeses are completely melted and no shreds are visible.

3. In large bowl fit for a stand mixer with a hook attachment, mix together the almond flour, flaxseed meal, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, yeast mixture, and 3 eggs.

4. Slowly, beat in the cheese mixture.  Beat until the dough is completely combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as necessary.

5. Divide the dough into 6 equal sections.

6. Form each section into a ball with your hands, then flatten them into a disc shape that is roughly 4″ in diameter and 1.25″ high.

7. Place each bagel on the lined baking sheet.

8. Use a 1.25″ circular cookie cutter to punch a hole into the center of the bagel.

9. Lightly beat 1 egg in a small bowl and brush it on to the tops and sides of each bagel.

10. Sprinkle a generous amount of Everything Seasoning onto each bagel.

11. Bake for 15 minutes or until bagels have turned golden brown.

12. Allow them to cool before slicing.

• Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
